The day started loudly with mantra chants from speakers at 5 am. Since it's a full moon day in Sri Lanka, it's a holiday and mantras will be sung all day long 🇱🇰 I went back to yoga with Mr. Tooth-Gap Smile and what can I say? I feel energized and strengthened after the cleansing day and I got much better into the asana.

I could also enjoy the massages even more today 💆🏻‍♀️ I had a forehead oil pouring for the first time today, incredibly relaxing and grounding. Warm oil was poured over my forehead for about 20 minutes.

Yesterday, a fresh fish was caught, so for lunch today we had a kind of Ayurvedic ceviche and for dinner a delicious fillet. Before dinner, the doctor introduced us to the teachings of Ayurveda. It's amazing how many people are here without ever having dealt with Ayurveda before or knowing their dosha type. But now they know, understand how Ayurveda works, and why we have so much oil in and around us. 😊

Most of them are here because of friends, family, or acquaintances who have already done a Panchakarma treatment and were absolutely thrilled.

Our dinner table is a colorful mix of old and young, caregiver and lawyer, from London to Thailand, and yet we are all the same. We walk around in the same colorful flower wraps and oil on various body parts, and we are here for the same reason: health and awareness of our own bodies.

After dinner, we went to the Wewurukannala Buduraja Maha Viharaya Temple and attended a full moon ceremony 🪷 It was breathtaking! What a colorful, open, conscious, and warm culture! We visited Sri Lanka's largest Buddha statue and were in awe. The ride there in tuk-tuks was also an absolute highlight.

Now we are reviewing the day on our balcony and already looking forward to the new day!
