Hello dear ones
Today our alarm clock rang at 7:15 am, as this time we had booked a climbing tour in the morning.
However, we took it very easy. First we woke up properly, got ready, sat on the balcony for a moment, packed our stuff and had breakfast.
Exactly at 9 o'clock we reached the meeting point and were warmly welcomed by our guide. We had the same guide as the day before yesterday, which thrilled us. Today we didn't take our climbing shoes, but took the opportunity to try some with camber, which the shop provides for us. Cambered climbing shoes means that the shoe is not straight like usual, but the sole is curved like a banana. This forces the foot into a pointed position and provides better grip on very small steps. Really cool, we were very excited about the difference!
We started directly at the climbing spot and there was no "warming up on an easy route" there either.
We started with a very long route, which started at level 5 and changed to a 6a towards the top. It was really challenging, but we managed to do it and earned a lot of respect from the other climbers with this route.
We climbed until 1:15 pm, then our muscles were burnt out.
The climbing was absolutely wonderful! We climbed three more 5c routes and as a final climb, the guide sent me up a 6b. This was the most challenging climb I have ever done! It was really sweet when our guide said to another guide "now you have to look, this is the girl I told you about yesterday". I was so touched!
It feels incredibly good to see that all the hard work pays off and I have now reached a level that allows me to be seen among real climbers 😊.
Mama also climbed excellently and I am incredibly proud of her performance! Today she also reached a new milestone and successfully climbed her first 6a on a real wall.
During the climb, our guide asked me if he could buy a carabiner from me, as his was very worn out by now.
When saying goodbye, I gave him my carabiner instead of giving him a tip. It is worth ten times more than a tip here and he can really use it, that was the thought. He was really happy!
I said to him: 'Now you have a memory of us and you won't forget us.'
Then another guide called out: 'We will all remember you!'
Of course, probably just a polite phrase that won't apply anymore tonight - but still, this reaction triggered a warm feeling in us.
After climbing, we made our way back to our bungalow and then we relaxed on one of the loungers by the pool.
I spent the whole afternoon with yesterday's photos and Mama enjoyed just doing nothing.
At around 5 pm we went back to our accommodation, got ready for dinner and walked back to the village to the restaurants.
We decided on the one where chickens were hanging over the grill and a delicious smell was tempting.
Mama ordered one of the mentioned chickens right away and the waiter actually recommended a pizza to me. The pizza was really good and the chicken was so-so - but we both got full ☺️
After dinner, we walked back leisurely to our accommodation and now we are enjoying the rest of the day on the balcony.
With these words we say goodbye to you today ;)
Thank you very much for reading and:
See you tomorrow!!!!
