Since the weather is supposed to get worse, we stay in Diamante for another day. Bake bread on the camping grill (needs improvement) and enjoy the sun again. The next day we want to head north to Paestum. There is also a famous archaeological site there
Strangely enough, the navigation system today shows a shorter travel time than Google, for the same route. And Google recommends a completely different route. Since at some point after an experiment we decided to always follow the navigation system, we're doing the same today.
But the navigation system didn't know anything about road closures. Google does. And so we have to take a very narrow and very curvy detour, which at least brings beads of sweat to Jürgen's forehead.
The campsite in Paestum is beautiful, the sun is still shining and the pizzeria is open. What more do we want?
Unfortunately the visibility is not good, supposedly you can see the Amalfi Coast from here. The pizzeria and its owner are VERY rustic. There is no menu, I don't understand it either... In order to have two glasses at all, we have to steal one from the next table. The pizza tastes ok, there is tiramisu for dessert. And everything for 30 euros.
Unfortunately it starts to rain during the night. A troubled story in the motorhome. It's still raining in the morning.
