Meanwhile, we are back home since Monday and have settled in well! However, we would like to complete the blog with one last post! Our last day in Ratzeburg was definitely one of the most beautiful of the tour. Under the shining sun, we practiced rowing in a four-person boat. By the way, both the women's and men's teams won Olympic gold in this discipline. We also followed in the footsteps of all the gold medal winners who started their journey at the Ratzeburg Rowing Club. While we were there, we also had the opportunity to watch the German U23 rowing team and see how it's done! In the twilight, we went on a hunt. From three different tree stands, we observed the game of nature, and one of the hunters even shot a young boar. It was a really cool and new experience for us, and a fitting end to our wonderful journey! We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Piet's aunt and her husband for being such great hosts for us! On Monday, we drove home on more or less empty roads and had a joyful evening with many friends at the Sperl. In the end, we can look back on a successful trip and be glad that everything went smoothly! These five weeks haven't separated the three of us, but rather strengthened our friendship and created a connection that we will probably remember fondly for many years to come. And who knows, maybe we will repeat the whole thing one day.

Here's the answer to a question we have been asked frequently: In total, we drove 7,035 km in 35 days! On the map, you can see our entire journey.

We would like to thank all the kind people who provided us with a home along the way, as well as everyone who supported us in advance, whether financially or by preparing the car for us! Special thanks also go to all the readers of this blog, and last but not least, our reliable VW Passat, which, contrary to many fears, easily mastered this tour! By the way, if anyone is interested in this beautiful specimen, please feel free to contact us, as we will unfortunately have to sell it due to lack of necessity.

Well then, thanks to everyone and see you soon!
