Day 81 - Midweek celebration!

Wɔatintim: 24.01.2018

Halfway there! Starting tomorrow, the countdown begins. At least in terms of my time here in the project. It's weird that I've been here for almost three months already. Let me make a list of the pros and cons of returning to Germany.

Just kidding. Nicaragua forever? I can't imagine that. Maybe I'll see things differently once I'm back in the old routine. We always want what we don't have.

By now, I feel like I'm developing a certain routine with the children. My Spanish has naturally improved, so now I can even stand in front of the class and represent Luis without getting heart palpitations. It sucks that I have to leave just when things are starting to get really good.

Enough complaining. Until then, I have a few things to do. For example, on February 11th, an International Poetry Festival will start here in Granada, which will also have a special section for children this time. Maybe we can make a small project with interested children out of it. Or at least freshen up the book collection in the "library". It's underground: tattered, dusty, outdated, and therefore unappealing. I'll ask Keeley about it.

The photo shows a part of the new office. Very meaningful. Tomorrow, I'll take a picture of another part.😀

Temperature 31 degrees, calm wind, partly cloudy.
